monitoring temp and humidity

building a device to monitor temperature and humidity

Day 1

Bought esp32, dht22, a few ftf jumpers, breadboard, 10K resistor, 1.3” oled

Setup arduino ide

Burnt dht22:

Burnt dht22

Result:

a cute smiley face with mock data

Learnings: SP road is the place to buy all this. need to buy: multiple dht22, labelled dht22, mtf jumpers

Maybe esp32 is an overkill for this project??

Day 2

Bought better dht22 sensor, smaller breadboard, jumper wires (mtm, ftf, mtf)

Claude is costly so used chatgpt.

Result:

a cute smiley face with real data

Setup:

Learnings: 2 halves of breadboards are isolated, breadboards are very cool, building has become super easy with AI
